Santa Clara, Calif. -- Anthony I. Rupp, 65, former Hays resident died Tuesday Feb. 21. He was born Oct. 13, 1918 in Hays, the son of Anton and Amelia (Keberlein) Rupp.

He was a graduate of St. Joseph Military Academy, Hays, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Santa Clara posts of the American Legion and VFW.

Survivors include his wife Margaret, of the home; three sons, Terry Rupp, West Covina, Calif., Rodney Rupp, Alta Alpa Loma, Calif., and Steve Rupp, Merceds, Calif.; a daughter, Penny Shepard, San Francisco; a sister, Agatha Werth, Atchison; six step-brothers, Bill Billinger, Al Billinger, Mike Billinger, Bob Billinger and Joe Billinger, all of Hays, and Adam Billinger, Atlanta, Ga.; and three step-sisters, Katie Walters, Margaret Beilman and Rosemay Karlin, all of Hays.
