Joseph J. Burghart, 94, of Yorkville, IL formerly of Aurora, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. He was born March 29, 1914 in Topeka, KS.
He is survived by his two daughters, Judith A. Burghart of Ft. Myers, FL and Geraldine J. (Ron) Gabrielsen of Senica, IL; three grandchildren, Jessica (Andrew) Covert of Newark, IL, Jeffrey Gabrielsen of Plano, IL, and Andrew Gabrielsen of Villa Park, IL; two great-grandchildren; Dylan and Conner Covert; and his sister, Barbara Burghart of Topeka, KS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia (Malaker) Burghart; two daughters, Kathleen Burghart and Marleen E. Fauth; his parents, Anna and Jacob Burghart; two sisters, Marie Gartner and Elizabeth Kisner; and four brothers, Jacob F., Albert, George and John Burghart.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 10:00am at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY. Fr. Jerome Leake will officiate with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.
