Barbara Ann Burghart, age 77, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday morning, October 25, 2011.
She was born September 23, 1934 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Vonfeldt) Burghart.
She was a manager at Woolworths for 28 years and a filing clerk for the State of Kansas for 17 years. She was a lifetime member of St. Josephs Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Gartner, and brothers Al, Jake, John, George and Joe Burghart.
Survivors include niece Chris Williams, nephews Philip Gartner and Douglas (Paula) Gartner and great nephews Troy and Alec.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A wake will be held at the church Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. with a Parish Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be left to Midland Hospice Care or Topeka Humane Society.
