Mary Borgens

Mary K. Borgens, 87, of 1637 29th Ave Place, Greeley, died Monday in Eventide Nursing Home.

She was born May 19, 1893 in Frank, Russia to Conrad and Maria Miller Bostron. She married John Borgens in Loveland in 1911. He died in 1959.

They farmed in the Loveland area until 1940, when they moved to Colorado Springs.

She is survived by sons Ben Borgens of Manitou Springs, Ray Borgens of Windsor, and George Borgens of Boise, Idaho; daughters Irline Gettman of Loveland, Elda Lenhart of Desert Hot Springs, Calif, Madeline Wambolt of Greeley, Mildred Meyer of Denver, Betty Olson of Fort Collins, and Ruby Hunter of Clarksville, Ark; step-son Ruben Borgens of Greeley; step-daughter Katie Foos of Boulder, Freida Sitzman of Greeley, Rose Miller of Windsor, and Helen Stroh of Longmont; 43 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday from Hunters Garden Chapel. Interment will be in Loveland Burial Park.
