Aloys Klenke -

The subject of this sketch was born in Clover Bottom, Mo., August 30, 1890, and died at his home east of Union on Thursday, July 24, 1919, at 1:30 o'clock at the age of 28 years, 10 months and 24 days. Deceased stayed with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Klenke, at Clover Bottom and latter came with them to the Soph place east of Union and helped his father and brothers on the farm. On October 3, 1916, deceased was married to Miss Frances Fees. Shortly after his marriage deceased bought a farm near that of his father where he and wife lived happily until death called him. Deceased is survived by his sorrowing wife and one son, Herbert, two years old, [ Note: Aloys wife, Frances, was 5 months pregnant with son Albert at the time of his death.] his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Klenke, and the following brothers and sisters: Frank, George H., and Fred, all of near Union, and Misses Adella, Mamie, Rose, Katie, Mrs. Henry Vondera, and Sister Ariea. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends. Mr. Klenke had not been well for some time, typhoid fever being the cause of his death. The funeral was held Monday morning at 8 o'clock from St. Mary's church and interment of his remains was made in the Catholic cemetery.

This is the fourth death in the Klenke family in less than seven months. The deaths consist of two daughters, one son and one daughter-in-law. The community sympathizes with those who mourn.

Aloys Klenke died at his home near Union Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m., at the age of 28 years. He was buried Monday morning, services being held at the Catholic Church. He married Miss Frances Fees and leaves to mourn his early surmise his widow and one child. He died of typhoid fever. This is the fourth death in the Klenke family within the past seven months. The others, who died of the flu last winter, were his sisters, Mrs. Nelda Overschmidt and Mrs. Theresa Overschmidt, and Mrs. H. Klenke, nee Hug. A number from Washington attended the funeral Monday.
