Mrs. Fees was born in Forte, Germany and came to this country when she was 16 years old. she was the daughter of John and Anna Schuster Habermann. On Jan. 18, 1888 she was married to Ferdinand Fees at St. Gertrude's Church at Krakow.
Mr. and Mrs. Fees made their home on a farm just outside the city limits of Union where she lived until her death. she was a member of the St. Clare Altar Society.
Surviving are five children: Mrs. Anna Klenke, John Fees and Edward Fees of Union; Mrs Frances Weber of Washington and Mrs. Mary Conley of St. Louis; three sons- in-law, three daughters-in-law; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Two sons died in infancy and one son, George, on Jan. 23, 1941 at the age of 40.
