Olinda "Jean" Schwindt, 89, of Fort Collins, passed away Friday, March 27, 2009.

Jean was born to Fred and Elizabeth (Schaeffer) Jekel on December 30, 1919 in Riverton, Wyoming. Jean spent her school years in Windsor, CO. On May 3, 1940, Jean was united in marriage to Harold "Shorty" Schwindt in Kimball, NE. They moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where she worked as a sales clerk for F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Jean moved to Fort Collins where she was a cashier in the Treasurer's Department at Colorado State University.

Jean was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church, the Women's Circle, Christian Women's Club, and the Senior Bowling League. She also attended Victory Bible Fellowship Church. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and doing crafts.

Jean is survived by her son; daughter; 3 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Harold; 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
