Daughter of Herman Friedrich Stutheit and Emma Catarina Maria Anna Marquardsen.

September 25, 1918 - Married Johannes Edward "John" Oestmanno, son of Frederick Heinrich August Oestmann and Emma Maria Moerer.

OBITUARY:
Emma Anna Friedericke Stutheit, daughter of Herman F. and Emma Marquardson Stutheit, was born on a farm southwest of Johnson, Nebraska, October 27, 1893. She was one of twelve children born to this marriage.

She was baptized Nov. 12, 1893 at St. Paul (Stutheit)Lutheran Church by Pastor Burgt and was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at that same church April 12, 1908.

She received her schooling in the Beckmann rural school.

September 25, 1918 she was married to Johannes Edward Oestmann at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (Stutheit) . They lilved in the Hickory Grove neighborhood for 32 years. Two daughters were born to this marriage.

Emma joined St. Paul (Hickory Grove)Lutheran Church soon after her marriage and remained an active member of that church the rest of her life. She was a member of the Ruth-Naomi Circle in that church.

July 21, 1950, her husband, John, passed away. Soon after his death she moved into Auburn where she lived the remainder of her life.

While Emma had been in failing health for a number of years, she had been seriously ill just the last few months. She entered the Good Samaritan Nursing Home October 16. It was there she passed away late Tuesday eveing. October 19, 1976, having reached the age of 82 years, 11 months and 22 days.

In addition to her husband, John, she was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her two daughters, Miss Lucina Oestmann and Mrs. Walter(Henrietta) Heidzig, both of Aubuarn; three grandsons; four sisters, Mrs. John (Hulda)Moerer of Inglewood, CA. Miss Ida Stutheit, Mrs. Albert (Martha) Moerer and Mrs. Edwin (Clara)Oestmann, all of Johnson, Ne. a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ernest(Fesena) Stutheit of Auburn; two brothers-in-law, Otto Michel of Johnson and Ernest Gebers of Auburn; other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers were Emory Stutheit, Ronald Heidzig, Thomas Heidzig, Kenneth Heidzig, Lester Oestmann and Norman Stutheit. Assisting with flowers were Esther Michel and Mrs. Elmer Steffens. Services were Friday, October 22, 1976 at 2:00 P.M. Interment: St. Paul (Hickory-Grove) Cemetery.
