Mrs. George Leverenz, 73, Is Summoned At New Holstein
New Holstein—Mrs. George Leverenz, 73, nee Eliese Timm, passed away this morning at her home here at 1820 Wisconsin Avenue. She had been in ill health for the past three years.
Deceased was born Feb. 2, 1869, in this city, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman C. Timm, Sr., and was a life-long resident of this city. She attended Spencerian Business College at Milwaukee and after her graduation from that school became bookkeeper for her father in the grain business in this city.
She was married to George Leverenz of New Holstein on Oct. 24, 1894. She was always interested in civic affairs and was a charter member and founder of the New Holstein Civic society; former president for 15 years of that organization; former Calumet County chairman of the Federation of Women's Clubs; first vice-president and member of the constitution and by-laws committee of the Calumet County Federation of Women's clubs; charter member of the local royal Neighbors camp, a member of the Cemetery Ladies' Aid society and of the German Reading circle.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Rock and Mrs. Floyd Hartig, Greenbush; one son, Timm of this city, six grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Emilie and Miss Agatha, both of this city; two brothers, Dr. E. W. Timm of Milwaukee and H. C. Timm, Jr., this city. Two sisters, Mrs. Geo, Schroeder of this city, and Mrs. Wm. Breeden, San Antonio, Tex., preceded her in death.
