Albert Viertel, age 76, died very suddenly following a heart attack at his home in the town of Seneca at about 4:30 o’clock this morning. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 14, at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic church, Altdorf, with the Rev. John Willitzer officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Viertel was born in Saxony, Germany, on July 13, 1866, and has been a resident of the community for the past 40 years. His marriage to Mary Wipfli took place at SS. Peter ad Paul Catholic church in this city on May 7, 1890. Eight children were born to this union, two preceding the father in death.

Surviving are his wife and children, Herman and Carl of Berlin, Wis., Edward of Dubuque, Iowaa, Albert and Mrs. Ed Locey of Altdorf and Mrs. Nick Grellinger of Racine; 24 grandchildren and one brother, Arno Viertel of Stevens Point.

Th body will be taken to the residence Sunday afternoon and prayers will be said there at 8 o’clock Sunday evening. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Krohn and Berard.
