Visitation will be 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant. The Wilton Masonic Lodge will conduct services following the visitation at 7:30 p.m., at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his honor.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 22, at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant. The Rev. Stanley C. Kammerer will officiate. Organist was Mabyn Fox and vocalist was John Casebolt. Pallbearers were Victor Wulf, Donald Schlapkohl, Everett Schnack, Otto Schnack, Harry Goettsch and Arno Paustian. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
Allen Floyd Lilienhal was born August 27, 1914, in Cedar County, the son of Henry and Lillie (Grafing) Lilienthal. He married Erna Ione Bockwoldt on February 17, 1940, in Davenport. Together they farmed near Durant, until he retired. He was a member of the Wilton Masonic Lodge No. 167, AF & AM, and the Kaaba Shrine.
Surviving are his wife, Erna of Durant; one daughter, Sara (James) Orvick of Oregon, WI; three sons, Gary Lilienthal of Durant, William Lilienthal of Wilton and Cal Lilienthal of Lebanon, TN; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Meta (Elmer) Otto of Durant, Stella (Carl) Ploen of Wilton and Alice (Ralph) Sievers of Davenport; and four brothers, Alvin, Albert and Ray Lilienthal, all of Durant and Lawrence Lilienthal of Wilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
