Mazomanie/DeForest - Sydner W. Uphoff, age 69, died on Saturday, March 27, 1976 at a Madison nursing home. He was born on August _ 1908 at Cottage Grove. He retired from the Madison police force in 1952 and wasa resident of Mazomanie since 1946. He is survived by his wife, Sally; two sons, Warren of Monona and Sydner of Milwaukee; four daughters, Mrs.Harland (Ramona) Hesselberg of DeForest; Mrs. Lyle (Roberta) Edgington, Evansville; Mrs. Dennis (Sally) Radecke of Stoughton; Mrs Gregory (Louise) Jencen of Oconomowoc; fourteen grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Vera Jones of Madison; a half brother, Richard Sandsmark of Madison. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Edwardson Funeral Home, DeForest. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning until the time of services.
