Car Crash Kills Leonard A. Uphoff

Leonard A. Uphoff, 70, Rt. 1 Oakfield, Fond du Lac County, was killed Monday (Apr. 12, 1971) in a car accident on Highway 151 south of Waupun.

Details of the accident were not available.

He was a native of Cottage Grove and a former Sauk County farmer. He was a member of several Kenosha and Milwaukee Masonic organizations.

Surviving are his wife, the former Maree Laing, two daughters, Mrs. Roger Ott, Hillpoint; and Mrs. William Spencer, 1849 Helena St., a step-daughter, Mrs. Floyd Saxsma, Venice, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Francis Spencer, Hollywood, Fla.; Mrs. Leo Cass, 439 W. Doty St.; and Mrs. Eleanor Clements, Allentown, Pa.; three brothers, Dr. Robert, Santa Monica, Calif; Ralph, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Myron, Miami, Fla; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Schroeder Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., where friends may call from 4 to 8 tonight.

Burial with Masonic services will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
