Jennings - Funeral services for Martin Miller, 85,, will be at 10 a.m. today, Feb 23, from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, The Rev. T.L. Herlong will officiate. Burial will be in the Tee-Mamou Cemetery, St. Jules, under direction of Segura-Matthews Funeral Home. A rosary was said Friday in the funeral home.
Mr. Miller died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday in a local nursing home. He was a native of Iota and had resided here for 25 years. He was a retired employee of the City of Jennings.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna (Deville) Miller; three sons, Martin "Bruce" and Lee Earl Miller, both of Jennings and James R. Miller of Evangeline; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Beulah) Miller of Sulphur; four brothers, John and Joseph C. Miller, both of Egan, Placide Miller of Jennings and Emge (Joseph) Miller of Scott; two sisters, Mrs. Eldridge (Nanette Miller) Comeaux and Mrs. Walter (Mae Miller) Comeaux, both of Jennings, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
