Pioneer Carnegie Resident Dies At Home Thursday
Last rites for John Fred Daubert, a pioneer resident of Carnegie and Community, were at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Methodist church with rev. A.B. Grubb, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Carnegie cemetery with the Pitcher Funeral Home in charge.
Daubert, 84 years of age and a native of Russia, had been ill for several years with an asthmatic condition. During the past four years his condition had become much worse. Death came rather suddenly Thursday in the home where he had lived the past 40 years.

One son, Edgar, preceded him in death February 10, 1924, being killed in a car accident.
The Dauberts moved to Carnegie, February 4, 1904, where he became manager of the Stephenson-Browne Lumber Company. They resided in town until 1918, when they moved to the present home two miles south of town.
