Mary Florence Knott, 79, of 510 E. 23rd St., Owensboro, died Thursday, February 19, 1981 at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. She was born in Daviess County, was a housewife, was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and its Altar Society, and was organist for St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley for 30 years. Survivors include her husband, Proctor Paul Knott; four sons, Paul Meyering Knott of Miamisburg, OH, and Martin, Charles M., and Walter Knott, all of Owensboro; seven daughters, Mrs. Jack (Louise) Alvey of Rockport, IN, Mrs. J. Richard (Alma) Gaw of Owensboro, Mrs. Robert (Rosita) Libs of Evansville, Mrs. Sterling (Marilyn) Cavalier of Seabrook, TX, Roberta Knott of Houston, TX, Mrs. Mike (Kathleen) Boldrick of Santa Maria, CA, and Mrs. Larry (Dottie) Elder of Sorgho; a brother, Urey Thompson of Philpot; and four sisters, Mrs. John (Eulalia) Wright and Mrs. Mayme Poehlin, both of Owensboro, Mrs. Phil (Ophelia) Vierling of Baltimore, MD, and Sister Eugenia Thompson, S.L., of Kankakee, IL; 35 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Services are at 3 p.m. today at Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Browns Valley. Visitation at the funeral home.
