Marilyn Knott Cavalier, 61, of Pensacola, formerly of Owensboro, died Tuesday, March 18, 1997, at her home. She was born in Owensboro and was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit in Pensacola. She worked at Lockhead-Martin Corp. in Houston and retired as an executive secretary. Survivors include her husband, Sterling E. Cavalier; a son, Wayne E. Cavalier of Los Angeles; three daughters, Debbie Cavalier Stephen of Pensacola, Catherine Benson of Seabrook, TX, and Cindy Cavalier of Clearwater, FL; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Paul M. Knott of Miamisburg, OH, and Martin E. Knott, Charles M. Knott and Walter Knott, all of Owensboro; six sisters, Sister Mary Louise, OSU, of Marion, Alma Gaw of Owensboro, Rosita Libs of Evansville, Roberta Knott of Houston, Kathleen Boldrick of Santa Maria, CA, and Dottie Elder of Sorgho; and several nephews and nieces. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Browns Valley. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Browns Valley. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Friday and from 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home in Owensboro. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit Building Fund, 10650 Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola, FL 32507. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
