Casper Soldier Meets Death in Luzon Accident
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Aylesworth, 936 North McKinley, have received word that their son Pvt. Louis Aylesworth, 23, had died on Luzon on August 13, 1945. His death resulted from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.
Pvt. Aylesworth attended Natrona County high school.
He entered the armed services in Feb. 1942. He took his training at Camp Forest, Tenn., and he was attached to the infantry. He had been overseas for two years.
He became 23 years old on the 12th of August, one day prior to his death.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Leo H. Penn, of the family home, Mrs. Fred Miller, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Irena Thomas, Ogden, Utah, Mrs. Verdice Shaw, Casper, and a brother Charles, serving with the armed forces in Germany.
Memorial services will be held at the Grace English Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 9, starting at 3 o'clock, with Dr. Charles S. Bream, pastor conducting.∼The Casper Tribune-Herald

Veterans Body To Arrive Soon
Word has been received here that the body of Pvt. Louis R. Aylsworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Aylsworth, 936 North McKinley, will arrive in Casper from overseas Thursday. Funeral services have tentatively been scheduled for Friday with the Bustard Funeral Home in charge. Private Aylsworth was killed on Luzon one day prior to V-J Day.∼The Casper Tribune-Herald
