After Nancy's death, several of the family members moved to Jefferson Co., Illinois. It was there that he married Elizabeth Goddard on Feb. 6, 1856. In the 1860 census, George Kinne, age 69 was listed as a teacher. In his household were Elizabeth aged 20 and two small children, Martha 3, and George M. 1 year of age. He died that year.
