In the Family Register of 1st St. John's Lutheran Church, Seebach's Hill, on line 17, the names of Michael and his wife Anna Rohfrietsch are written along with their birth dates.
In 1853, purchased property at Lot 22, Concession 1, Ellice Township, Perth County, Ontario, Canada, from his father, Valentin. The property, upon which was built a two-storey frame house, was sold in 1880 to Peter Rohfrietsch.
Michael died at their saw mill, built on the bank of Black Creek, which ran along the property in front of their home. He was drowned when the planking that held the water back, gave way and the rushing water pinned him against the water-wheel.
