She married Kenneth C. Gross on Jan. 14, 1956, in Victoria. He preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2008.
She was a homemaker and lived her lifetime in the Hays area. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. John's of Hays Auxiliary, both of Hays.
Survivors include four sons, Dr. Kirk Gross, Dodge City, Kraig Gross and wife, Laure, Hays, Kent Gross and wife, Karla, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Klay Gross and wife, Mika, Wichita; two sisters, Irene Kippes, Hays, and Lillian Schumacher and husband, Leland, Victoria; a sister-in-law, Marian R. Dreiling, Hays; seven grandchildren, Kristopher Gross, Kara Denton, Kourtney Gross, Derick Gross, Kyle Gross, Katie Gross and Eryn Gross; and two great-grandchildren, Javon Searight and Leia Searight.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Leo Frances Dreiling, Thomas Dreiling and John G. Dreiling; a sister, Anita Feltes; two infant brothers, Virgil and Fredrick Dreiling; and an infant sister, Lillian Margaret Dreiling.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday, both at Cline's Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd, Hays, KS 67601. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to Thomas More Prep-Marian High School, St. Joseph Church or St. John's of Hays Assisted Living Center in care of the mortuary.
