Lawrence F. WULFKUHLE

Lawrence F. Wulfekuhle, 77, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 1996, in his home after a sudden illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. Ralph Simington. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, with military rites. The family will greet friends after 3 p.m. today at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester, where a Scripture service begins at 7:30 p.m. Friends also may call after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include two sons, Larry of Oelwein and Jon of Huxley; two daughters, Cathy Seelinger of Colorado and Mary Rave of Manchester; five brothers, Harold of Edgewood, Leonard and Arnold, both of Independence, and Floyd and Wilbur, both of Manchester; and a sister, Arlene Ronnebaum of Earlville.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and an infant son, Douglas.

Born May 5, 1919, in Earlville, to William and Katherine Knipper Wulfekuhle, he married Berniece Hilby on Feb. 12, 1947, in Masonville. She died Nov. 4, 1992.

Lawrence served in the Army during World War II and was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Manchester American Legion Post 45.
