Floyd Joseph Wulfekuhle, 82, of Manchester, Iowa, died Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. February 07, 2011 at St. Mary Catholic Church - Manchester, Iowa.

Floyd was born August 31, 1928, in Petersburg, Iowa, the son of William and Catherine (Knipper) Wulfekuhle. He and his family moved to Masonville when Floyd was a youngster, where he attended rural school.

On January 17, 1956, Floyd was united in marriage to Helen Marie Fortman at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Greeley. After their marriage, they moved to their farm, east of Manchester, where they still resided.

Floyd was a long-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. He loved farming and his family.

He is survived by his wife Helen of Manchester; two sons, Steve (Susan) Wulfekuhle of Manchester; Ed (Marla) Wulfekuhle of Delhi; one daughter, Cheryl (Tom) Recker of Manchester; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Harold (Marie) Wulfekuhle of Edgewood; Leonard (Vera) Wulfekuhle of Independence; Wilbur (Erma) Wulfekuhle of Manchester; and one sister-in-law, Joann Wulfekuhle of Independence.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terry Dean Wulfekuhle in infancy; a grandson, Scott Joseph Wulfekuhle, in infancy; two brothers, Lawrence (Berniece) and Arnold Wulfekuhle;and one sister, Arlene (Ernie) Ronnebaum;
