Jarville Swords
Wyoming, Oct 11, -- Funeral services for Jarville M. Sword, 67, will beheld Friday at 2:30 p. m. from the Gillespie memorial home in Wyoming with the Rev. L. P. Flynn, pastor of the Wyoming Congregational church, officiating. Burial will be in the Wyoming cemetery.
Jarville M. Swords, son of Edward M. and Almyra Chaffee Swords was born July 1, 1878, near Wyoming. He grew to manhood in this community, following the occupation of farming. In 1920 he moved to a farm near LaFayette, where he farmed for 24 years. He retired two years ago returning to Wyoming where he has since resided.
Mr. Swords was married Jan 1, 1902 to Miss Harriett Cox at Wyoming. He was a member of the Wyoming A. F. & A. M. and the Peoria consistory and Mohammed Shrine.
He had been in failing health for some time and recently was a patient in St. Francis hospital, Peoria, but died suddenly at his home in Wyoming Wednesday morning at 9:30 a. m.
Surviving are his wife and three sons, Eugene Swords of Peoria, Harold Swords of Victoria, and Walter of LaFayette. One sister and one brother survive. They are Mrs. Margaret Jackson, Starke, Fla., and Ed M. Swords of Eldon, Iowa.
