Mr.Horndt's body was found Friday morning.Found by his former neighbors in Shaws Bend,Mr. and Mrs.Rudolph Schobel of Shulenburg and by Mrs.Hermann Stolle,who had driven over to buy some chickens.
Justice of the Peace C.L. Griffith and Deputies Marvin Buller and Ed Potter investigated.A verdict of suicide was returned.
Funeral services were held for Paul Frank Horndt,58,Sunday afternoon at the Untermeyer Funeral Home with Rev.Raymond Durst of Ellinger and Rev.G. Wolf of Columbus officiating.
Pallbearers were his nephews Edgar Horndt,Edwin Poenitzsch,Lloyd Poenitzsch,Robert Balzer,Arthur Rodick and Harry Heintschel.
