Mystie was born Mystic Hoisington, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoisington, Oct, 24, 1887, at Union, Neb. In the spring of 1888 she moved with her family to Pa louse, and later to Troy, Idaho,. In 1896 the family moved to Fix Ridge near Juliaetta where she received her education.
She married Albert J Heimgartner in 1907 and lived on fix Ridge until they purchased their present farm on Potlatch Ridge in 1918. They have eight children.
She recalls when her children were small and the washing was done by a hand powered machine. "We thought this was easy after having to wash on a washboard like I did when I was first married." She recalled. "During harvest I cooked for 18 men plus my family. I had to bake 10 to 12 loaves of bread every day instead of three times a week. All I had was a wood stove."
In 1957 Albert retired from farming although they still lived at their farm home. The farm has been turned over to their sons.
Mr. and Mrs. Heimgartner worked a bit thought, as both garden and help their sons with the shop work.
