Funeral Services For Hugo Seydler, 48, Held Monday
Funeral services for Hugo Seydler, 48, who succumbed at his home at about 7 o'clock Sunday morning after suffering a heart stroke a few hours earlier, were held Monday afternoon from Hubbard Funeral Home, Rev. C. Emigholz officiating. Burial was in City Cemetery.

Mr. Seydler, a lifelong resident of this area, had been ill for the past six years.

Born May 16, 1902, at Holman, he was the son of the late Alec and Ida Seydler. Moving to Weimar in 1919, he worked first in a confectionery here and later for two motor companies. For many years he had been raising cattle and farming.

On Nov. 24, 1926, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church here, he married Miss Elsie Ranft. He was member of the Weimar church, and vice-president of the church board.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Miss Betty Jean Seydler, student at Seguin Lutheran College, and Miss Sylvia Rose Seydler, in school here; six brothers, Albert and Curt of Holman, Alec of San Antonio, Otto, Alfred and Arthur of Houston; and two sisters, Miss Olga Seydler of New Braunfels and Mrs. Martha Richards of La Grange.

Pallbearers at the funeral were W. H. Hollien, Emil Schindler, Benno Rose, Emanuel Cordes, Norbert Stech, Fritz Tell, Charlie Allen and McCall Sanders.
