Final Rites for Curt Seydler, 68, Held Here Sunday

Funeral services for Curt Seydler,68-year-old World War I veteran,were held Sunday afternoon,Aug. 29,at Hubbard Funeral Home,with Rev.F.H. Horak Jr. officiating.Interment was in Masonic Cemetery.

Mr.Seydler died,Thursday,August 26,in Veterans Administration Hospital at Houston where he had been a patient the past four months.He had been ill about two years.

Born Nov 4,1896,near Weimar,he was a son of Alex and Ida Hartmann Seydler.He served overseas in the army in World War I,returning to make his home here.He had never married.

He was a member of the local VFW post.Fellow veterans served as pallbearers and participated in a military graveside ceremony.Pallbearers were John Miksch,Charlie Allen,Leo Guenther,Fred (Pats) Heger,Joe Wick and Harvey Bartosh.

Surviving are four brothers,Albert,Alex,and Otto of Weimar area and Arthur of Houston;and two sisters,Miss Olga Seydler and Mrs.Martha Richards,both of Weimar.Two brothers,Hugo and Alfred (Jack) preceded him in death.
