Charles W. Zimmerling, 48, Marysville,Kansas died Thursday, August 9, 2001 at a Lincoln, Nebraska hospital.

He was born December 18, 1952 in Marysville Kansas, the son of Walter and Bertille (Koel)Zimmerling. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1970.

Mr. Zimmerling was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Marysville, Kansas and the Leo McMinimy Post 181 of the American Legion in Frankfort, Kansas.

He had worked for the Landoll Corp. in Marysville, Kansas since 1975 and was a shop foreman at the time of his death. He served in the Army from 1972 to 1974.

He married Bobbie Vestal April 4, 1996. She Survives.

Other survivors include his mother, Bertille Zimmerling, Marysville, Kansas; three daughters , Tiffany Padgett, Marysville, Kansas, Shawnacy Leonard, Lincoln, NE.
and Becky Zimmerling, Marysville, KS. a son, Michael Zimmerling, Marysville, Kansas; eight sisters, Theresa Elsinger,Marysville, Kansas, grace Wion, Keene,Texas, Nadine VanCamp, Dolores Landreth all of Kansas City, Missouri, Verla Towle, Port Arthur, Texas, Rose Drake, Shawnee,Kansas, and Zena Allen, Independence, Missouri; five brothers, Mike Simmons,Frankfort, Kansas, Walt Zimmerling,Seneca, Kansas, Bob Zimmerling, Wamego,Kansas, Paul Zimmerling, Home, Kansas,Phil Zimmerling, Axtell, Kansas and two grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2001 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Marysville, Kansas.

Burial was in Home City Cemetery,Home, Kansas.
