From the Dallas Morning News, Monday, October 3, 1949, Sec. 1, p. 9:

Fort Worth, Texas, Oct. 2 -- Mrs. Eva Whitsel, 76, of Fort Worth, died Sunday of injuries received Tuesday in a traffic accident.

Her death raised the year's traffic fatality count to twenty-eight in Fort Worth and sixty in Tarrant County.

Survivors include two sons, Clifford M. Whitsel of Pacoima, Calif., and Darrell A. Whitsel of Fort Worth; three daughters, Mrs. C. T. Scott and Mrs. F. B. Cooper and Miss Marie Whitsel, all of Fort Worth.
