George was born in the Volga village of Unterdorf, Russia to Mary Katherine (Benhauf) and George Jacob Weideman. George married Marie Elisabeth Weber in Russia in 1892, and they came to the United States in 1912. Marie died in 1946, and in 1948 George married Mary Steinbrecker.
