Christ Reese, 67, Rte. 3, Pierz, died this morning in St. Gabriel's Hopsital. He was born July 24, 1897, in Sioux Valley, Jackson County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christan Reese. When he was three, the family moved to Alpha, and five years later to Platte township, where he farmed for many years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Little Falls. Surviving him are his widow, Mary Wolff Reese; a son Orville C. Reese at home; a daughter, Mrs. Steven (Lucille)) Rocheleau, Little Falls; and two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Rychner, Little Falls and Mrs. Bertha Kainz, Ely. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. Walter Haag officiating, and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation hours in the Shelley-Thompson Chapel will begin Sunday, and continue until noon Monday. There will be reviewal in Zion Lutheran Church for an hour previous to the service.
