Alvin F. Boeckman passed away at the Onaga, Kansas Nursing Home on Saturday, September 8, 1984, at the age of sixty-eight years.
Alvin F. Boeckman was born April 22, 1916 at Kelly, Kansas in Nemaha County, the son of Henry and Josephine (Sextro)Boeckman.
He attended the Kelly schools and served in the Army from 1943 to 1946.
He was married to Rosemary Hageman at Willowdale, in Kingman County, Kansas, on April 28, 1943.
Alvin was a farmer and carpenter most of his life. The years that he was not farming or doing carpenter work he was employed by Beech Aircraft at Wichita, Kansas. He
moved to Corning, Kansas, after he left the Army and they moved to Frankfort, Kansas in 1981 to make their home.
He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church and Leo McMinimy Post No. 181 of the American Legion, both at Frankfort, Kansas.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, of the home; two sons, Alvin Boeckman Jr., Mokena, Illinois, and Louis Boeckman, Corning, Kansas; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Kay Nocktonick, Mayetta, Kansas, Mrs. Karen King, Havenville, Kansas, and Mrs. Joan DeBord, Manhattan, Kansas; a brother, Lawrence Boeckman, Goff, Kansas; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Schmitz and Mrs. Arlene Schmitz, both of Baileyville,
Kansas, Mrs. Frances Wichman, Seneca, Kansas, Mrs. Augusta Huftles, Corning, Kansas, and Mrs. Dorothy Henry and Mrs.
Sally Deters, both of Goff, Kansas. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 1984, at the Annunciation Catholic Church conducted by Father Robert Hasenkamp. Servers at the mass were grandsons, Paul and Jeremy Boeckman and John Boeckman.
Readers for the mass were Richard Schmitz and sons, Alvin Boeckman Jr. and Louis Boeckman, Sister Louise Hageman, Great Bend, Kansas, read the Communion Reflection. His daughters, Mary Kay Nocktonick, Karen King and Joan DeBord presented the offertory gifts. The eldest grandchild of each family brought up a stalk of wheat for each grandchild and placed it in a vase. His wife, Rosemary, placed a single red rose on her husband casket.
Graveside services was conducted by Leo McMinimy Post No. 181 of the American Legion. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Frankfort, Kansas.
