A resident of Greenwell Springs, he passed away at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, at The Care Center. He was 76 and a native of Eunice. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 9 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nellie Medlin of Greenwell Springs; three daughters, Dianne Anderson, Janice Cavin and Patricia Dessler; two sons,David Medlin and Stephen Medlin; 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers. The family requests memorial donations be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge LA 70806.
