Mrs. Barney Hemman
Mrs. Barney Hemman died at the family home at Lillyville Saturday, January 13, 1917. She had been ailing with heart trouble for several days proceeding her death. She was well known at Lillyville as a good Christian woman and her demise will be deeply mourned by all her acquaintances.
Mrs. Caroline Apke was born in the Province of Hannover, Germany, on Feb. 27, 1870, and came to America with her parents on May 1, 1890. She was united in marriage to Barney Hemman on Au#. 25, 1890. To this union seven children were born. Mrs. Ben (Anna) Haskenhenus, Ben, Frank, Henry, Margareta and Clara. One sister also survives Mrs. Henry Schumacher of Batesville, Ind. The funeral took place at 9:30 Monday morning from the Lillyville Catholic Church.
