Harmon Moritz died at 2:30 o'clock this morning at his home on east Fifth street at the age of fifty-eight years. He had lived in Seymour practically his entire life and was employed at the Travis Carter Planning Mill as a woodworker, retiring from active employment when compelled to do so on account of his health.
The deceased was born at Four Corners, Jennings County December, 31, 1851. In 1874 he was married to Miss Margaret Oliger and to them were born six children , four of whom survive. They are Carl of Columbus, Mrs. John Hoffmire of Indianapolis, William and Ruth Moritz of Seymour. He also leaves three grandchildren. Besides these he is survived by three brothers, Chris and Henry Moritz of this city and Joseph of Flagstaff, Arizona and three sisters, Miss Clara Moritz of Seymour, Mrs. Kate Newman of Indianapolis and Mrs. Josephine Buck of Flagstaff, Arizona.
Mr. Moritz was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church and also of the Knights of Columbus and of the St. Ambrose Benevolent Society.
The funeral services will be held Friday morning at 0 o'clock from the St. Ambrose Catholic church, conducted by Father C. J. Conrad. Burial in the Catholic cemetery.
