Mrs. Margaret Moritz, age 83, died at her home, 605 East Fifth Street at 12:14 o'clock this afternoon. Mrs. Moritz was the widow of the late Harmon Moritz, who was employed at the Travis Planning mill for many years. She was a native of Jennings county, where she was born on July 7, 1853, the daughter of John and Helena Olinger. She moved to Seymour while young and was married here in 1874 to Harmon Moritz, who died on November 15, 1910. She lived in the home where she died since 1879.
Mrs. Moritz was a member of the St. Amvrose Catholic Church and had been active in it's affairs as long as her health permitted. She had been active with the Ladies Aid Society and the Sacred Heart League.
She spent her life helping others and was always unselfish and kind in her home. She is survived by four children, Carl Moritz of Norwood, Ohio; Mrs. John Hoffmire, of this city; Mrs. Phillip Niehelsel of Cincinnati; William Moritz at home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Monday morning from St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Monsignor A.J. Rawlinson, pastor in charge. Friends may call at the home after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
