Shumway — Samuel R.J. Laue, 65, of Shumway died at 3:55 p.m. Monday (Nov. 3, 1986) in St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shumway.

Mr. Laue was born in Effingham County, son of Otto and Anna Laue. He was a retired farmer and retired employee of Fedders U.S.A., Effingham. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Shumway. He married Maxine Dettro in 1945.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Steve and Tom, both of Shumway; Tim of Effingham, Jerry of Beecher City; daughters, Mrs. Glen (Dixie) Donaldson of Altamont; Mrs. Ted (Patsy) Tedrick of Shumway; brothers, Leland of Chicago; Freeman of Shumway; sisters, Evelyn Clarman(sic) of Shumway; Bessie Hale of Springfield; nine grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
