Shumway — Evelyn Klarman, 92, Shumway, peacefully passed away at 1:40 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 13, 2009).
Evelyn was born Nov. 22, 1916 at Shumway, IL the daughter of Otto and Anna Brandt Laue. She married Kenneth William Klarman, Jan. 26, 1936 and he passed away Sept. 14, 1989.
Evelyn was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Shumway. She worked side by side with her husband Kenneth on their grain and dairy farm.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday Sept. 17, 2009 in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery at Shumway. Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements entrusted to Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson.
