JAMES T. PEER, OF EIGHTH WARD, DIES

Formerly Worked For Cambria Plant And Johnstown Traction Company

James T. Peer, who would have been 67 years of age on the 29th of this month, died at 3:25 o'clock this morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Harry M. and Gertrude Wisner, of 47 O'Connor Street, Eighth Ward, with whom he had made his home since his wife died five years ago. Mr. Peer had not worked for the past two years on account of illness. His death resulted from cancer. He had been bedfast for two weeks.

James T. Peer was born in New Florence, but had lived most of his life in Johnstown. He worked for a number of years as a boiler fireman in the Cambria Plant and later for the Johnstown Traction Company as a track laborer. Mr. Peer is survived by the following children: Gertrude, wife of H. M. Wisner, of 47 O'Connor Street; William Peer, of Akron, Ohio; Mildred, wife of Todd Clark, of A Street, Morrellville; Emily, wife of Walter Miller, of Worth Street, Eighth Ward; Clyde Peer, of Pittsburgh; Robert Peer, of Holliday's Cove, W. Va.; Margaret, wife of Clem Smith, whose residence is not known, and Kenneth Peer, of Steubenville, Ohio.

The deceased is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Callahan, of Pittsburgh, and three brothers- William Peer, of New Florence; John Peer, of Pitcairn, and David Peer, of Jeannette. Mr. Peer was a member of the Roxbury M. E. Church, whose pastor, the Rev. J. T. Davis, will conduct funeral services at the Wisner residence at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Interment in Grandview Cemetery will be in charge of undertaker W. C. Flick.
