He married Evangeline Booth on October 9, 1954 in Moran, Texas.
Dr. Vita served in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He was in Family Practice for 29 years and for the past 16 years, he served as Emergency Room Physician.
He is survived by his wife of McKinney; sons Marc A. Vita and Nicholas B. Vita of McKinney, Texas; 3 grandchildren; brothers Nicholas Vita of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Joseph Vita of Williamstown, New Jersey, William Vita of McKinney, Texas and Richard Vita of Manila, Phillipines; and several neices and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; son Eric Edward Vita.
