Willard Wade Bounds Sr, 88, 5086 Riverdale Road S. died Wednesday in an Independence nursing home.
Born in Baker, he was a lifetime resident of Oregon and lived in the Salem area 12 years. He was a heavy construction operator most his life.
Survivors include son, W. W. Jr., Salem; daughters Phyllis Bounds, San Francisco, Elaine Garrett, Oroville Calif., sister, Lillian, Los Angeles; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Parmenter mortuary, Independence, and interment in Riverview Cemetery, Portland. The family suggests contributions to American cancer Society.
