Aged 61y 11m 26d. Born in Altamont, IL, he came to Springfield when he was 17 years old. He operated a saloon on Monroe street for several years. For 12 years he was employed by the Sangamon Dairy Co., until his health declined.

He married Miss Elizabeth Weber on April 16, 1900. She survived him, along with his three sons, Floyd, George and Charles, daughter Catherine; two grandchildren; brothers Albert, Frank W., Gus and Charles Siebert. - IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 4-15-1935
