Edith Robertson

Mrs. Edith Cora Robertson, widow of Joe H. Robertson, died Wednesday, June 13, at Fairacres Manor, where she had made her home since October 20, 1971. She was 86.

She was born in Corning, Iowa, November 2, 1886 and grew up there, later going to Kansas City, Missouri and then to Eaton. She was married to Joe H. Robertson at Eaton on July 29, 1908 and returned to Kansas City for two years, then moved to Brunswick, Missouri and back to Greeley in 1916.

The Robertsons farmed in the Gill Community from 1920 until they retired in 1949 and then moved to Greeley. Robertson died August 13, 1964.

Mrs. Robertson was a member of the First Christian Church, the Iowa Club, and the Gill Country Club.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter, J. Lyle Robertson of Golden, Harold S. Robertson of Denver, and Mrs. Harriet Reynolds of Dumaugette City, Philippine Islands; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one brother, Harry R. Stender of San Diego, California.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Adamson Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.
