Born Lars Pedersen Spangrudlien, in Norway, came to this County 1870 and first settled in Chatfield, Fillmore County, Minnesota. Later moved to Foxton Township, Clark County, South Dakota. Married Ahne Kaushaugen and raised 12 children. Buried in Sec 3, Lot 4, next to his wife. Anton & Peter Lien are two of his sons.
