Frank Schlepper and wife of DuQuoin, DuQuoin were called to the death bed of their Mother. Mrs Caroline Schlepper died Sunday, February 17th, and was buried Tuesday morning. Her funeral was largely attended. She was one of the oldest residents of this township.
Her death is recorded on page 83, record 5 in the St Francis register. Aged 64 years 10 months. Buried Feb 19 at St Francis Cemetery in Teutopolis.

July 23, 1885 - Mrs Francis Schleper incurred a small injury to her head by falling down from a wagon load of hay.
