NAMPA—Jake Herget, 68, retired dairy farmer, died Thursday night at his home on Karcher road following a short illness.
Mr. Herget was born July 10, 1883 at Cornelius, Ore. He was married there to Clara Pidcock on, Aug. 15, 1907, the family lived at Cornelius until 1918 when they came to Nampa. For a number of years, Mr. Herget was a dairy farmer north of Nampa. Surviving are his wife, Clara Herget, Nampa: two daughters, Mrs. Paul Pritchett and Mrs. Dick Smyth; both of Nampa; four brothers, Philip Herget, Hillsboro, Ore.; Edward Herget, Portland, Ore.; Fred Herget, Nampa and William Herget, Santa Anna, Cal.; two sisters, Mrs. Katherine La Rean and Mrs. Ollie Egan, both of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Walker's chapel with the Rev. Lester Jones officiating. Interment will be at Kohlerlawn.
