CALDWELL—Fred Hergert, 68, route 5, Nampa, died of a heart attack Thursday night while visiting friends in Caldwell.
A farmer, Mr. Hergert was born July 28, 1888, in Cornelius, Ore., and came to Idaho from Portland in 1916. He farmed near Nampa for 30 years and was a member of the Grace Lutheran church in Caldwell. Mrs. Hergert died in 1955.
Survivors include two sons, Ray of Oakland, Calif., and Earl Hergert, Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Foulton, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Ron Smith, Red Bluff, Calif.; three brothers, William of California, Dr. Edward Hergert, Portland, and Philip Hergert, Hillsboro, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine LaReau and Mrs. Ollie Egan, both of Portland; and a niece in Nampa.
Services will be announced by the Peckham -Dakan- Davis chapel.
