Casper Headrick was the sixth of seven known children of Jacob Hedrick (1775-1835) and Maria Julianna Sauer/Sower Hedrick (1774-c1811-12) who married c1794 at presumably Rowan (now Davidson) County, North Carolina. It is not known where Jacob or Maria are buried. After Maria died, Jacob remarried to Elisabeth Beck (???-1849) and had an additional nine known children.
Casper married Nancy Elizabeth (went by Betsy) Frank (1818-1897) on 01 Oct 1840 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Sometime between 1855 and 1858 the family moved from Davidson County, North Carolina to Dent County, Missouri. Casper and Betsy were the parents of seven known children, namely:
1. Commodore Decatur Headrick (1842-1887)
2. Alexander Franklin Headrick (1843-1905)
3. George Washington Headrick (1845-1923)
4. John Jefferson Headrick (1850-1929)
5. Jacob Benjamin Headrick (1854-1930)
6. Barbara Elizabeth Headrick Butler (1856-1932)
7. Margaret Christiana Hedrick Poindexter (1859-1933)
