Shirley Laurie BEAL, 64, of Amarillo, Texas passed away Monday, January 17, 2000. She was born in Canadian, Oklahoma and raised near Darrouzett where she graduated from high school in 1953. In 1972, she graduated from West Texas State University.
Mrs. BEAL taught in Dimmitt and Rolling Hills before retiring in 1980. She was a member of the order of Eastern Star and St. Stephens United Methodist Church.
She married Billy BEAL in 1977 at Amarillo.
Survivors include her husband; a son, David BEAL of Amarillo; four daughters, Cindy JENKINS of Guymon, Oklahoma, Laurie BENEDETTI, Gayla PHILLIPS and Debbie GREEN, all of Amarillo; three brothers, Jimmie LAURIE of Roby, Texas, R. T. LAURIE of White Deer, Texas and David LAURIE of Booker, Texas; three sisters, Cheri STEED of Bakersfield, California, Katheryn PAUL of Lipscomb and Karen MINYEN of Canadian; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
